Hull Rupture PC, Mac and Linux: Requirements and Controls Status

Compare official platform requirements, understand the launch controller-support statement and prepare a useful report for unresolved technical issues.

Which platforms does the full game support?

The current Steam listing supports Windows, macOS and Linux. Hull Rupture released on November 4, 2026; an old search result calling it unreleased or offering the disabled demo is stale.

Use the full-game listing when checking compatibility. A historical demo failure is not enough to establish that the released version has the same defect, and official platform support is not a guarantee of performance on every supported machine.

What minimum requirements does Steam list?

Platform Minimum OS Listed processor
Windows Windows 10 version 21H1 or newer Intel i7-8700 or Ryzen 1600
macOS Big Sur 11 or newer Apple M1 or Intel 9750H
Linux Ubuntu 22.04 or newer Intel i7-8700 or Ryzen 1600

The listing specifies 8 GB RAM and 2 GB available storage for each platform. Its graphics entry lists GeForce GTX 670 / Radeon HD 7970, and the Windows section specifies DirectX 11. Windows also requires a 64-bit processor and OS.

These are the publisher’s listed minimums, not benchmark results or a promised frame rate. The Mac listing names Apple M1 separately; do not replace that with an invented equivalent GPU requirement. Check the live store for any revised requirements before purchasing around a marginal configuration.

Is native controller support available at launch?

In an August 6 developer-badged reply, Rize says controller support was not planned for launch. The team did not rule out examining it after release, but that is not a dated implementation promise. The current Steam metadata read for this guide does not list controller support.

Do not mistake a community-created input layout for confirmation of native gamepad menus. This guide has not tested a Steam Deck layout, button mapping or current controller workaround. A Steam Deck user should treat those questions separately from the game’s Linux support.

Why do old demo performance reports need context?

The September 25 patch distinguishes three categories:

  • Bugs causing performance issues.
  • Slowdowns after wave 40 in the demo’s then-combined long-run structure.
  • General performance earlier in a run.

The developer planned a separate Endless mode to allow independent balancing; the launch FAQ confirms that separation happened. This does not prove every slowdown was fixed.

See modes and ships for the release structure and returning from the demo for the disabled trial. Avoid diagnosing a full-game problem from an old demo version number alone.

What should you do if the released game will not launch?

First record the game version shown, if any, your OS version, CPU, GPU and the exact error or point of failure. Confirm that you are launching the full game rather than trying to resume the disabled demo.

Then use the official discussion area and its Bug Reports section. Describe expected versus actual behavior and attach a screenshot when useful. This research has not verified a specific telemetry bypass, save-file edit or Apple Silicon repair, so no such operation is presented as a fix.

If the problem is an expected unlock rather than startup, check achievement conditions before treating it as a technical failure.

Which official sources can you check?

Sources checked November 5, 2026. Current hardware performance and individual crash repairs remain untested.
